Communique from the four embassies of the Pacific Alliance in India: 10 years more connected and integrated to the world
New Delhi (28 april 2021). The Pacific Alliance, a regional integration group that brings together Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru, with the aim of promoting greater growth, development and competitiveness of economies and advancing in the free movement of goods, services, capital, and people, celebrates its first decade on April 28, 2021.
In 10 years of history, the Pacific Alliance has achieved remarkable goals that have drawn the attention of India and the world. The Alliance's work has always been accompanied by the private sector, through the Business Council of the Pacific Alliance, CEAP.
Each of the 30 areas of work in the Pacific Alliance has focused on the fulfillment of the 2030 Strategic Vision to achieve a more integrated, more global, more connected, and more reachable Alliance, and that encourages countries to develop in a more solid, comprehensive, and sustainable way.
In a context as challenging as the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pacific Alliance has created a Joint Working Plan to reduce the impact on the citizens and the economies of the four countries, including the promotion of economic growth through actions that are benefiting nearly 2,500 companies. The Alliance is also promoting e-commerce, government procurement, trade in services, foreign direct investment and other areas that can impact positively on the creation of jobs in the region.
